The cleanliness of the premises, particularly the immaculate bathroom, was commendable.Dining at the on-site restaurant was a pleasurable experience, with a satisfying vegetarian option that catered well to my preferences. The affordability of the meals enhanced the overall value proposition. Despite the language barrier, the warm hospitality extended by Marie transcended communication challenges, making me feel at home.The hostel's tranquil ambiance and proximity to scenic mountain walks added to its allure. While basic amenities were provided, such as hot water and a clean bathroom, the lack of extravagant luxuries like a flat-screen TV may deter some seeking high-end comforts. However, for those appreciating simplicity and a touch of history in a beautiful setting, Chez Marie offers a tranquil escape at a reasonable cost.
